Call Forwarding
You can enable call forwarding by toggling it from the ‘Menu’ tab in the app, which will set up the forwarding to your dedicated Voice Mate phone number when you don’t pick up the phone. Additionally, you can manually set up call forwarding by dialing **61#[receipientnumber]
followed by the number you wish to forward calls to.
What is Call Forwarding?
Call forwarding allows you to redirect incoming calls to another phone number. This feature can be helpful when you’re traveling, unavailable, or simply want to manage your calls better. Instead of missing calls, you can forward them to another device, service, or—like with Voice Mate—an AI voicemail service that takes care of your calls and voicemails.
How Voice Mate Enhances Call Forwarding
When you forward your calls to Voice Mate, the AI voicemail service will answer your calls on your behalf. The AI will transcribe and summarize voicemail messages, so you can save time and stay organized without having to listen to lengthy voicemails.

Things to Keep in Mind
- Carrier-Specific Codes: While these shortcodes are standard, some carriers may have slight variations. Always check with your carrier if you’re unsure.
- Charges: Be aware of any extra charges your carrier might apply when forwarding calls, especially for international forwarding.
- Deactivation: Don’t forget to deactivate forwarding when it’s no longer needed to prevent unintended rerouting of calls.
